Raindrop Therapy

AlgoodMassage-087_edited.jpg

Raindrop therapy incorporates elements of aromatherapy, reflexology and massage therapy. The core practice involves applying specific essential oils to the spine and other key areas of the body.

Soothing massage techniques are used to distribute the oils and stimulate reflex points.
The goal of the session is to bring balance to the body on physical, mental, and emotional levels.

Very few people would turn down an in-depth foot massage. Despite the difficulty of the scientific community assessing the benefits of reflexology, a foot massage renews and refreshes our mind and body. Our jobs, habits, and yes, even our shoes can contribute to foot pain and ailments. Studies have shown that reflexology can be effective in reducing pain, improving sleep quality, and managing psychological symptoms. The length of time and depth of pressure used in a treatment, as well as whether it's a single session or a longer course of treatment, can all affect the outcome. Using pressure on the feet to treat illness dates back thousands of years. Dr. William Fitzgerald, an ear, nose, and throat doctor, is credited with the modern birth of reflexology. In 1917, he and Edwin Bowers published their findings on "reflex zone therapy".

Thai Massage

Nuad Bo Rarn, literally translated as “ancient massage”, is a deep stretch and pressure massage. Traditional Thai massage does not require lotion/oil, and is given on a mat with client fully clothed. The techniques have also been blended with Swedish massage to adapt to the traditional western table massage. The therapist will use their hands, arms, feet, legs, and tools to stretch and apply specific pressure to your body. It combines acupressure, yoga and massage which has been historically proven to date back 2,500 years. Although Thai and Yoga are often attributed to a specific faith, we respect everyone's freewill. We extend an invitation for you to silently pray for healing before a session in your own way. Carole is a certified Thai practitioner.
